How to get The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2’s three endings
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is a game with quite a few visual novel segments. While the bulk of a player’s time is spent following the Hundred Knight as he battles for the sake of Amalie and Milm/Chelka, the game does not shy away from telling stories about the sisters, witches and Weisse Ritter members. Combine that with Hundred Knight’s ability to assert his opinions, and it becomes clear that the ending will be influenced by the choices people make. Fortunately, the game is laid out in a way where it is easy to make saves at strategic points and rely on those to help you earn all three.
The first ending someone should try to get in The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is the normal ending. This one comes from following orders. Zophie, one of Amalie’s fellow Holy Valkyries, will tell Hundred Knight that he has to leave. We are not going to get into why or what happens here as a result. Just know that agreeing after Zophie’s order is going to give you the most basic ending. This happens in the middle of the chapter and you will have just saved prior to it, probably before the mid-boss, so you will be in a good position to go ahead and go back after making this decision.
That question is also where things get interesting in The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2. Both the bad and true endings require you to disagree with Zophie. Saying no sets you on the route to unlock both endings in the ninth chapters. It also means saving again at a very specific point will give you the option to go ahead and choose the ending that you want again.
There is a town called Avidya in The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2. Milm hears about it in a storybook and goes in hopes of finding a certain item. In the ninth chapter, there will be a point where you will need to head to Avidya’s Fissures. But, before you do, Chelka will ask if you want to go to the Desert Prison again. The location you visit after that prompt determines the course of affairs. Going to the prison will give you the bad ending, but heading straight to Avidya’s Fissures will show you the true ending.
If you recommend an order in which you should view endings, here is what I think. Go with the normal ending of The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 first. This one is very basic and does not provide exactly all the answers. From there, go for the true ending. Even though it is called the “bad” ending, that final ending is really the one that feels like it is the most appropriate and fulfilling one.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight 2 is quite efficient in this way. By offering these opportunities to earn all endings without too much trouble, people can see all of the futures ahead for Amalie and Milm, understanding what can happen for these two sisters and Milm’s witch form, Chelka.
